Using the Bullying Investigation Workflow

If a student or family member witnesses or is the victim of a bullying incident, they can report it from the Student or Family portal. If a staff member witnesses a bullying incident, they initiate a Conduct Referral workflow.

The conduct manager or administrator who reviews these reports has the option of launching an investigation.

The Bullying Investigation workflow is made up of the following steps:

• Restore the victim’s safety.
• Notify parents of both students involved about the incident.
• Investigate the incident by holding interviews with both students involved.
• Determine the outcome of the incident and assign actions to the aggressor.
• Determine actions for the incident.
• If necessary, investigate a false accusation and assign actions to the accuser.
• Notify the parents of both students of the investigation outcome.
• Assign actions to the accuser.
• Plan for the future safety of the victim.
• If appropriate, notify law enforcement about the incident.
